How can Korean tourism (into the Philippines) help raise its economy?
Public Comments
- Well, south Koreans and many north Koreans are extremely rich and if they go on holiday, they will spend spend spend - good for any country
- Tourism in any country is good. It encourages a good business climate, the government spends more on infrastructure and the more jobs are generated. But Korean tourists generally keep to Korean-owned restaurants and hotels since they don't trust Filipinos that much. I know this because my friend operates a travel agency that cater mostly to Korean tourists. Then again, business is business.
- hahaha...this is actually my thesis (that i am currently working on)...:P anyway, yes...it is helping the economy. however, they benefit more in staying here. they opened their own mini-groceries, computershops, etc... in short, even if they are big spenders, they spend them mostly in their own exclusive economy here in the philippines.
- It will put more money to the business people who offers accommodation and whom they spent their money to.
- Apart from they enjoy staying here because of low cost of living, pleasant weather, close proximity from korea and good english command. To this effect they build businesses that will cater to the growing needs of korean tourists, tourist themselves consume philippine made products that benefit philippine manufacturers and employees.each single money they use gets through our economy and in the long run Philippine benefit from this.this will continuously encourage healthy business atmosphere and create more jobs.
- they are good and bad side on korean influx or tourist here in the phils., they spend and live here good for the economy but after long time they will become another mafia business type like the chinese they mostly owned or controlled all all business or whole economy.
